U.S. HAD "STEADY STREAM" OF PRE-9/11 WARNINGS

U.S. intelligence agencies provided "a modest, but relatively steady stream" of intelligence information that terrorist attacks inside the country were a possibility, a congressional investigator told lawmakers Wednesday.

Eleanor Hill, staff director for the joint House-Senate inquiry into alleged intelligence failures ahead of the Sept. 11 attacks, released a 30-page statement Wednesday that found information on possible terrorist strikes continued to filter through the nation's intelligence system in the months directly before the attacks.

Some of that information specifically mentioned potential attacks by Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network -- the group the U.S. blames for the Sept. 11 strikes that killed nearly 3,000 people in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

But, Hill's statement said, details were spotty and sources were often questionable.

[During this time orders from the highest levels of the FBI forced field agents to stop investigating the Arab flight students and INS remained porous even though known Islamist terrorists were crossing US borders with impunity.]

"They generally did not contain specific information as to where, when and how a terrorist attack might occur and generally are not corroborated by further information," Hill's statement said.

[On much flimsier intelligence the Bush Administration sent 150,000 American men and women into an illegal invasion of Iraq to find Weapons of Mass Destruction that weren't there to bring liberation and democracy that they did not deliver using radioactive munitions that contaminated most of our forces and a country of several million people.]

Hill's report details a July 2001 briefing for senior government officials that said a review of five months of intelligence information indicated "that [Bin Laden] will launch a significant attack against U.S. and/or Israeli interests in the coming weeks... The attack will be spectacular and designed to inflict mass casualties against U.S. facilities or interests."

"Attack preparations have been made. Attack will occur with little or no warning," it said.

Hill's report also said the National Security Agency, which monitors communications worldwide, reported at least 33 communications between May and July 2001 suggesting a "possible, imminent terrorist attack."

Such intelligence information dated back as far as 1998, Hill's report said, citing intelligence information in the fall of 1998 saying bin Laden's "next operation could possibly involve flying an aircraft loaded with explosives into a U.S. airport and detonating it" and a separate dispatch warned of a bin Laden plot involving aircraft in the New York City and Washington, D.C. areas.

A joint Congressional hearing on the possible intelligence failures heard testimony Tuesday from members of Sept. 11 victims' groups urging the investigation into what the government knew before the attacks continue.

"Our intelligence agencies suffered an utter collapse in their duties and responsibilities leading up to and on September 11th," Kristen Breitweiser, founder of the September 11th Advocates group told the committee. "And it goes without saying that the examination of the intelligence agencies by this committee does not detract, discount or dismantle the need for a more thorough examination of all of these other culpable parties."

Sen. Bob Graham (D-Fla.), chairman of the Senate intelligence committee, said the investigation was a "search for the truth, not to point fingers or to pin blame."

But Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) said he thought the Sept. 11 attacks indicated a gap in U.S. intelligence efforts.

"We know now that our inability to detect and prevent the Sept. 11 attacks was an intelligence failure of unprecedented magnitude," he said. "Some people who couldn't seem to utter the words 'intelligence failure' are now convinced of it."

[And yet the Bush Administration not only did not actively pursue a thorough investigation but obstructed such inquiries and pressured Congress to limit the scope of the inquiries. Elementary criminal investigation would identify those covering up and obstructing justice as high profile suspects in a crime. But not the Corporate News, the Democrats, the Republicans, nor a dumbed down public]

9/11 - ARE AMERICANS THE VICTIMS OF A HOAX?

Yet the prime suspect in the New York Towers case, ex(?) CIA asset Osama Bin Laden (whose brother is one of George W. Bush's Texas business partners), has issued only two statements regarding the September 11th attacks, and both of those are denials of any involvement.

Huge problems are emerging in the official view of events. It's known that the United States was planning an invasion of Afghanistan long before the attacks on the World Trade Towers. Indeed the attacks on the World Trade Towers perfectly fit the timetable of an invasion by October stated by US officials just last summer.

Bush Limits Investigation of Attack on America
President Bush personally asked Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle Tuesday to limit the congressional investigation into the events of September 11, congressional and White House sources told CNN.

The request was made at a private meeting with congressional leaders Tuesday morning. Sources said Bush initiated the conversation.

He asked that only the House and Senate intelligence committees look into the potential breakdowns among federal agencies that could have allowed the terrorist attacks to occur, rather than a broader inquiry that some lawmakers have proposed, the sources said.

Tuesday's discussion followed a rare call to Daschle from Vice President Dick Cheney last Friday to make the same request.

"The vice president expressed the concern that a review of what happened on September 11 would take resources and personnel away from the effort in the war on terrorism," Daschle told reporters.

But, Daschle said, he has not agreed to limit the investigation.

"I acknowledged that concern, and it is for that reason that the Intelligence Committee is going to begin this effort, trying to limit the scope and the overall review of what happened," said Daschle, D-South Dakota.

"But clearly, I think the American people are entitled to know what happened and why," he said.

Cheney met last week in the Capitol with the chairmen of the House and Senate intelligence committees and, according to a spokesman for Senate Intelligence Chairman Bob Graham, D-Florida, "agreed to cooperate with their effort."

The heads of both intelligence committees have been meeting to map out a way to hold a bipartisan House-Senate investigation and hearings.

They were discussing how the inquiry would proceed, including what would be made public, what would remain classified, and how broad the probe would be.

Graham's spokesman said the committees will review intelligence matters only.

"How ill prepared were we and why? We are looking towards the possibility of addressing systemic problems through legislation," said spokesman Paul Anderson.

Some Democrats, such as Sens. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut and Robert Torricelli of New Jersey, have been calling for a broad inquiry looking at various federal government agencies beyond the intelligence community.

"We do not meet our responsibilities to the American people if we do not take an honest look at the federal government and all of its agencies and let the country know what went wrong," Torricelli said.

"The best assurance that there's not another terrorist attack on the United States is not simply to hire more federal agents or spend more money. It's to take an honest look at what went wrong. Who or what failed? There's an explanation owed to the American people," he said.

Although the president and vice president told Daschle they were worried a wide-reaching inquiry could distract from the government's war on terrorism, privately Democrats questioned why the White House feared a broader investigation to determine possible culpability.

"We will take a look at the allocation of resources. Ten thousand federal agents -- where were they? How many assets were used, and what signals were missed?" a Democratic senator told CNN.

Clues about why the USAF would accept orders to stand down on 9/11 are beginning to emerge

From the start, the Bush Administration has insisted that anything like the 'planes-as-weapons' scenario of 9-11 was 'unthinkable' before 9-11.

That's a Huge Lie.

On Sept. 11, 2001 they had a brand new counter-terror emergency response plan in place at the Pentagon for exactly that scenario, and had a counter-terror 'war game' set to begin on exactly that scenario that very morning in the nation's capitol.

These clues also fit another scenario that does not depend upon hijackers in the planes. For such a conspiracy to work it helps to keep the number of participants to a minimum. The official planning of the counter terrorism emergency response could have coincided with a much smaller clandestine group planning to piggy-back their real attack on the simulated attack.

This black op, probably supervised by Cheney, could have included the use of remote control Global Hawk technology which had already been successfully tested on take off, navigation and even landing of large aircraft. Boeing 757s and 767s already have automatic pilot computers which can be used for such a purpose.

This could also fit with Professor Kee Dewdney's Operation Pearl scenario of switching aircraft in the skies above military bases along the route.

Cheney's reaction to the leak and the subsequent lock down of all information about Khalid Sheikh Mohammed might have been either a false flag or a code name of the contact within the black op. Either way Cheney would be slamming doors and windows shut to keep the clandestine group in the shadows. There was no reason why "the bad guys had to have at least one person among them who had fooled U.S. intelligence into believing that he was 'one of us.'" He probably was "one of us." Just had a hidden agenda.

Suicide Hijackers Hid Behind Stolen Arab Identities

The full list of the 9/11 hijackers names was released on 9/14/01. Below are the nineteen men identified on the FBI website as the hijackers.

Seven of the men have subsequently been confirmed as being alive. None of the names listed are shown on the passenger manifests of the hijacked flights

As you can see from the above that makes 9 alleged hijackers who are reportedly alive and well!  So why do their names and photos still remain on the FBIs website?

Because of the facts of the phony identifications, we don't really know who was on those planes. What we do know is that the men on those planes went to a great deal of trouble to steal the identities of Muslims, and to make sure those identities were seen and remembered, then to leave a plethora of planted clues around, such as crop dusting manuals, and letters in checked baggage (why does a terrorist about to die need to check baggage?) that "somehow" didn't get on the final, fatal, flight.

Bush Focus on Iraq Shifts Resources Away from Osama bin Laden: But we couldn't investigate 9-11 because it would shift resources away from.....

"Last fall, as the U.S. began planning the invasion of Iraq, Washington shifted many of its highly classified special-forces units and officers who had been hunting bin Laden in Afghanistan, moving them to Iraq, where they performed covert operations before the war began. By December many of the 800 special-forces personnel who had been chasing al-Qaeda for a year were quietly brought back home, given a few weeks' rest and then shipped out to Iraq. 'They all basically picked up and moved,' says a senior U.S. official. When the A-team members left, they took a lot of their high-tech equipment (and Arabic speakers) with them. And while they were replaced by fresh troops, many of the new units comprise reservists who, rather than specializing in countering Islamic threats, were trained for operations in Russian-and Spanish-speaking countries."

"Now some have come to believe that the change in emphasis allowed bin Laden to disperse to other parts of the world operatives who survived the initial months on the run. 'The reason these guys were able to get away,' says a former Bush official, 'was because we let up.'"Time

This is exactly what the Bush Administration specifically insisted would never happen. The attack on Iraq materially damaged the war on terror. So does the war on terror really mean something to the Bushite neocons, or is it just a diversion to hide economic, environmental and social problems, and to fool the American people into agreeing to domestic restrictions on civil liberties and a series of unjustifiable attacks on the rest of the world? The funniest thing is that they used a supposed connection between bin Laden and Saddam as one of their lies in supporting the attack on Iraq, while at the same time they were effectively discontinuing the search for bin Laden so they could begin their pre-war on Iraq.

9-11 Commissioner: Bush Deliberately Delayed Inquiry Report Until After Iraq War  Former Sen. Max Cleland, D-GA. on the independent commission set up to investigate the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks told United Press International that the Bush administration deliberately delayed publication of an earlier congressional inquiry into the attacks. The White House did not want the report made public before launching military action in Iraq. He said the administration feared publication might undermine the administration's case for war, which was based in part on the allegation that Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein had supported Osama bin Laden -- and the attendant possibility that Iraq might supply al-Qaida with weapons of mass destruction.

"The administration sold the connection (between Iraq and al-Qaida) to scare the pants off the American people and justify the war," said Cleland. "There's no connection, and that's been confirmed by some of bin Laden's terrorist followers ... What you've seen here is the manipulation of intelligence for political ends."

Police could now intercept mail and wiretap phones; suspected terrorists could be imprisoned without specific charges and without access to their lawyers; police could sneak into people’s homes without warrants if the cases involved terrorism

To get his patriotic “Decree on the Protection of People and State” passed over the objections of concerned legislators and civil libertarians, he agreed to put a 4-year sunset provision on it: if the national emergency provoked by the terrorist attack on the Reichstag building was over by then, the freedoms and rights would be returned to the people, and the police agencies would be re-restrained.

Within the first months after that terrorist attack, at the suggestion of a political advisor, he brought a formerly obscure word into common usage. Instead of referring to the nation by its name, he began to refer to it as The Fatherland. As hoped, people’s hearts swelled with pride, and the beginning of an us-versus-them mentality was sewn. Our land was “the” homeland, citizens thought: all others were simply foreign lands.

Within a year of the terrorist attack, Hitler’s advisors determined that the various local police and federal agencies around the nation were lacking the clear communication and overall coordinated administration necessary to deal with the terrorist threat facing the nation, including those citizens who were of Middle Eastern ancestry and thus probably terrorist sympathizers. He proposed a single new national agency to protect the security of the Fatherland, consolidating the actions of dozens of previously independent police, border, and investigative agencies under a single powerful leader.

Most Americans remember his Office of Fatherland Security, known as the Reichssicherheits-hauptamt and Schutzstaffel, simply by its most famous agency’s initials: the SS.

And, perhaps most important, he invited his supporters in industry into the halls of government to help build his new detention camps, his new military, and his new empire which was to herald a thousand years of peace. Industry and government worked hand-in-glove, in a new type of pseudo-democracy first proposed by Mussolini and sustained by war.

At first Bush Administration said Saudi part of 9-11 report must be classified to not offend Saudis and now... Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal expressed disappointment that U.S. President George W. Bush would not declassify parts of a congressional report on the 9-11 hijackings.

He said the refusal deprives the Arab kingdom of a chance to clear its name.

Mr. Bush had said earlier at the White House "there's an ongoing investigation into the 9-11 attacks and we don't want to compromise that investigation."

Condoleeza Rice Warned Willie Brown Not To Fly On 9-11  The Assistant to the President for National Security Afffairs, Condoleeza Rice called a friend the day before September 11th and told him to stay out of the air that week. On May 17, 2002, Pacifica Radio reported that Rice was the source of the call to Brown. The airport says there was no advisory in place. When asked, Brown clammed up as to the source. Why? After 9/11 EPA was swayed by White House to lie about air quality at Ground Zero - An investigation by the Environmental Protection Agency's inspector general into official statements about air quality after the collapse of the World Trade Center has found that White House officials instructed the agency to be less alarming and more reassuring to the public in the first few days after the attack.

The draft of the inspector general's report also says the agency "did not have sufficient data and analyses" to make a "blanket statement" when it announced seven days after the attack that the air around ground zero was safe to breathe. "Competing considerations, such as national security concerns and the desire to reopen Wall Street, also played a role in EPA's air quality statements," the report said.

9/11 Commission to Subpoena NORAD Information

It would be the second subpoena issued by the commission which has complained of delays by some government agencies in providing information needed to complete the investigation by a May deadline. The commission has also previously said it may subpoena the White House to gain access to intelligence reports given to the president if that information was not turned over. The testimony of Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta on May 23 about Cheney's actions is revealing. Mineta said he arrived at the Presidential Emergency Operating Center (PEOC) at 9:20 a.m. where he observed the Vice President taking charge:

Mineta: There was a young man who had come in and said to the vice president, "The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out." And when it got down to, "The plane is 10 miles out," the young man also said to the vice president, "Do the orders still stand?"

And the vice president turned and whipped his neck around and said, "Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?" Well, at the time I didn't know what all that meant. And.

After some discussion of whether Cheney's orders meant to shoot down the hijacked aircraft, it was clearly stated on the record that there were no such orders to do so, which raises the obvious question of what "the orders" were

From July 4th-14th, 2001, Osama bin Laden was treated for a kidney infection at the American Hospital at Dubai, United Arab Emirates (from air via Quetta, Pakistan and was treated in the urology department headed by Dr. Terry Callaway). He met on many occasions with the CIA station chief Larry Mitchell and bin Laden gave Mitchell precise information regarding an imminent attack on the U.S., but bin Laden was a wanted fugitive for the bombing of 2 U.S. embassies and the attack on the U.S.S. Cole. Osama should have been arrested for questioning, but nothing happened and he was allowed to leave in his private jet with no Navy fighters waiting to force him down.

Even a 2000 Clinton presidential executive order was still in effect and mandated that bin Laden should be killed on the spot, but nothing happened. This is all recorded in the Washington Times, London Evening Standard, and an October 31st, 2001 article from the French daily Le Figaro, and the AFP. Even Steve Pieczeik, a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, who worked with Henry Kissinger, Cyrus, and James Baker in an interview with Alex Jones, admitted that Osama bin Laden met with the CIA in July 2001.
