Some frequently used homeopathics in veterinary medicine.

Aconite-acute infectious diseases, fear & panic, eyes(arnica of
               the eye) #1 eye trauma remedy- bright hemorrhage
               with fear/panic/anxiety

Arnica-# 1 trauma remedy-can be used as often as is necessary-
              e.g. every 15 min or once per day-seeping, oozing
              bleeding esp. under skin/eye-subject hates anyone
              approaching/touching-fractures, after birthing, dental
              or surgical procedures, dislocated joints

Allium Cepa-watery discharge from eyes, nose and post nasal        
               drip

 Apis-insect bites, edema, early joint ill

 Arsenicum Album-one of the major remedies-diarrhea,
                    infections, lethargy, cold (animal seeks warmth),
                    fever but usually lower temp with lo energy

 Belladonna-major remedy-hi energy disease, higher fever,
                     head hotter than neck, bounding pulse, dilated
                     pupils and rapid onset-diarrhea, infectious disease,
                     mastitis,  laminitis,

 Bowel Nosodes-Chronic diarrhea, usually given with a single
                    homeopathic

 Calcarea Carbonica(Calc Carb)

Calcarea Fluorica(Calc Fluor)-helps to dissolve calcium &
                     scars

 Calc Phos-v. imp. remedy in horses-useful to cure epiphysitis
                    in yearlings, cures most OCD lesions, helps
                    fractures heal 3X as fast (along with Symphytum)
                    & I recommend performance horses get one dose
                    Monthly till 3 years old.

 Cantharis-good for cystitis(bladder infections) with straining
                     And also good for burns

 Calendula-good to help external wounds heal and also as a
                     Homeopathic to get rid of proud flesh(non-healing
                      Wounds)

 Carbo Veg-called the “Corpse Reviver”-will wake an animal
                      up in a coma like sleep-also good for colic and
                      altitude sickness

 Caulophyllum-best for birthing(replaces oxytocin)
Sabina-can prevent abortion-can help fertility problems
                      related to uterus

 Cocculus- motion sickness-vertigo

 Nux Vomica-#1 colic remedy-good for colic from impaction
              and milder gas colics-can also work on grain overload
              to prevent laminitis

Carbo Veg-colic remedy-signs more violent than with Nux or
             When no results with Nux

Colocynthis-colic remedy-similar to Carbo Veg esp. when
             Animal bends head around to abdomen or stands like
             A saw horse.

 Euphrasia-watery ocular discharge

 Hepar Sulf-very first treatment for abscesses, sinus infections
               in horse-#1 sign for use of Hepar is pain(throat will be
               painful, foot abscess (3X will promote discharge while
               the 200C will promote resolution internally). Good to
               follow with Silicea 200C to push out all debris or
               foreign bodies-irritable-foul pus-

 Hypericum-good for any area traumatized that is rich in
                    nerves e.g.tail bone, thumb,nails etc-also when used
                    with Ledum will prevent Tetanus. Very good
                    to use diluted Mother tincture for painful
                    eye conditions(may use spray over eye or in eye-
                    Arnica of the nerves-spine v. sensitive-slightest
                    Motion of arms/neck causes crying out

Ledum-#1 remedy for insect bites(#2 Apis) and puncture
                   wounds-have used for obscure hindleg lameness on
                  2 occasions-also good for bruises that are not
                  Completely healed with Arnica. May also be used
                  For knees/hocks that are easily injured.

Ipecac-persistent vomiting or conditions with bright blood e.g.
                  Bright blood in feces/urine.

 Iris V.-seldom used remedy but quite remarkable for
                  pancreatitis

Kali Bich-characterized by thick ropy mucousy discharge

 Lycopodium-Right sided remedy-first used for Moon blindness
                        Or auto-immune right eye problems-consider
                        when problems are more on right side

 Merc Cyn-seems to be specific for Parvo in dogs

 Nat Sulf-great trauma remedy for brain/spinal cord

 Phosphorus-bleeding, much fear, some behavior problems and
                         great 2nd remedy when URI goes into chest

 Pulsatilla-discharges characterized by thick yellow greenish
                    pus with a weepy, clingy disposition

                    Arnica-trauma, bleeding, bruising

    A-R-R     Rhus Tox-arthritis,muscle, tendons, cartilage

                    Ruta Grav-periosteum, joint capsule, ligaments

Secale-navicular disease, wire-strangulation injuries

 Thuja-#1 vaccinosis remedy
