When a Russian team recently stumbled upon a few methane "fountains" releasing large amounts of methane gas from shallow arctic waters directly into the atmosphere, they had no idea that there were hundreds, if not thousands, more. The UK's Daily Mail reports that the Russian research vessel Academician Lavrentiev has identified at least 100 large methane plumes in the East Siberian Arctic Shelf that are releasing high amounts of the methane gas into the environment.

Few, including skeptics, want to confront the problem that temperature increase precedes CO2 increase in absolute contradiction to the major assumption of the AGW hypothesis. I'm a denier for several reasons. There is no substantive evidence that the planet has warmed significantly or that any significant warming will occur in the future. If any warming does occur, it likely will be concentrated at higher latitudes and therefore be beneficial. Climate research has largely degenerated into pathological science, and the coverage of global warming in the media is tendentious to the point of being fraudulent. Anyone who is an honest and competent scientist must be a denier.

NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth's atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. Tornadoes swept through the south this past week killing more than 340 people. This toll may continue to rise as the devastated landscape is searched by rescue squads. In what may be one of the most damaging outbreaks of tornado in U.S. history, over 250 people are said to have died in the devastating storms that have ripped across the south and mid-west this month.
The video below, captured in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is especially harrowing: as a massive tornado — estimated to be up to a mile wide — passes by, the only sounds viewers can hear is a distant rumbling and the breathing of one very scared camera operator.

The former Vice President on Monday responded to Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly's on-air question last week: "Why has southern New York turned into the tundra?" O’Reilly then said he needed to call Gore.

That could be part of the reason areas in the northern hemisphere have had harsh winter storms and summer droughts say researchers.
The evidence for changing currents comes from ancient gorgonian coral reefs growing off the coast of Nova Scotia. The reef was studied by a team of biochemists and oceanographers from Switzerland, Canada, and the United States.

It made his name, and on his return Tickell was made Chef de Cabinet to the President of the European Commission and afterwards advisor to the Thatcher government, where he was instrumental in persuading leading politicians to put global warming on the political agenda (11).

A British court agreed with him, citing nine specific instances where the information presented as hard science was clearly wrong. Al Gore gets it backwards. First the temperature rises due to the activity of the sun, then CO2 increases. CO2 does not drive climate change, the sun does. CO2 is a result of global warming, not the cause of it.

New satellite ozone data and other atmospheric studies based on actual measurements confirm that the ozone layer is not a homogeneous, flat and that atmospheric dynamics, not chemistry, is the driving factor that determines the thickness of the ozone layer. The scientific research reported here strips any shred of credibility from the claims of the ozone depletion theorists leaving the Montreal Protocol backed only by the Malthusian ideotogy of its founders.
The dramatic new satellite ozone data, featured on the cover, are from the Crista-Spas ensemble of instruments, designed by scientists at the University of Wuppertal in Germany, which was deployed by the Space Shuttle in November 1994. The Crista team announced its first results at a press conference in Bonn on Nov. 6, 1995, but the results of the mission were barely covered in the European press, and not covered at all in the United States.
